hristian Faith Center of Creedmoor was formerly known as First Baptist Church of
as Assistant Pastor. In 1974, Bishop Mack and Pastor Brenda Timberlake were named Senior Pastors of the 35-member First Baptist Church.
After years of serving as Co-Pastors and experiencing steady growth in the
ministry, Bishop and Pastor Timberlake entered into full-time ministry together
in 1979. It was during this time that the ministry
began to expand in its emphasis on the practical teaching of the Word of God,
debt-free living, as well as the importance of the Holy Spirit.
During 1981, the ministry opened its Child Development
Center to service parents needing Christian oriented childcare in the surrounding
area. In addition, 1982 marked the official beginning
of the ministry's television and radio outreach, then known as the "Bread
From Heaven" broadcast, as well as the founding of the
Bread From Heaven Institute which provided ministerial and biblical training
to area pastors, ministers and interested lay persons.
In 1986, First Baptist Church was officially changed
to Christian Faith Center of Creedmoor Incorporated and the church moved,
debt-free, into a new facility on twelve acres of land. The newly renamed
church received its official 501(c)(3) non-profit
designation by the IRS in 1989. In 1989,
the ministry also established the Christian Faith Center Academy
to provide Christian-based educational training for students from Kindergarten
through 12th grade.
In 1989, the ministry also formed the Christian
Faith Ministers' Fellowship International, a fellowship of ministries
across the nation seeking mentorship and guidance in ministry, under the direction
of Bishop and Pastor Timberlake. In 1992, CFC sponsored
and completed the construction of The Royal Pavilions of Creedmoor,
Inc., a 28 unit housing complex for the elderly and disadvantaged
subsidized by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. It was also
during this time that the television broadcast was renamed to the "Today
With Mack and Brenda Timberlake" broadcast as it continued
to expand across the nation and the world.
Due to the substantial increase in membership, in 1995
CFC completed the construction of the Baby Ark Complex,
an 80,000 square-feet facility, built on over 100
acres, containing a state of the art sanctuary; the CFC
Academy; the Christian Faith Child Development
Center; multiple office sites for full time staff
members; the Wisdom Room Bookstore;
a full-service cafeteria; a competiton-sized gymnasium;
the Heaven's Bread recording studio and television
production/editing suite; a computer lab and the Royal Palace
Boutique.
In April of 1997, CFC began a major battle when Bishop Timberlake was diagnosed
with fourth-stage throat cancer and given only four weeks to live. However,
due to the strong faith of Bishop and Pastor Timberlake and the prayers of
CFC members and Christians around the world, he was declared cancer-free in
September of 1997. Bishop Timberlake remained cancer-free until his passing
on January 29, 2002, from breathing complications. It was during this five
-year period that media from around the world, both Christian and secular,
noted the faith and tenacity of both Bishop and Pastor Timberlake as they
persevered and continued to move forward with the vision of CFC, even in the
midst of seemingly insurmountable challenges.
After Bishop Timberlake's passing, Pastor Brenda Timberlake was officially
installed as Senior Pastor of CFC on February 10, 2002.
Under Pastor Timberlake's direction, CFC has continued with its numerous programs
and outreaches which currently include: CFC Academy; Christian
Faith Child Development Center; Heaven's Bread Publishing & Production,
Inc.; Timberlake Ministries International Television Ministry; Christian Faith
Ministers' Fellowship International; CFC Wisdom Room Bookstore; Raven's Nest
Food Bank; Angel Food Ministries; The Royal Pavilions of Creedmoor, Inc.;

CFC is poised to continue their efforts in fulfilling the vision of building
a "City Within a City." This "City"
will include the Noah's Ark Complex, a projected

larger state-of-the-art sancutary, numerous office sites, two gymnasiums,
